Nomad Personal Vehicle Compliance

All Nomad driver’s personal vehicle used to provide prearranged rides must comply with all applicable Indiana laws and regulations concerning vehicle equipment.


All drivers are required to:

-Meet the minimum age to drive in your city

-Have at least one year of licensed driving experience in the US (3 years if you are under 23 years old)

-Have a valid US driver’s license


Vehicles must:

-Be an eligible 4-door vehicle or minivan

-15 year old vehicle or newer

-Good condition with no cosmetic damage

-No commercial branding

-Have 5 factory-installed seats and seat belts

-Working windows and air conditioning and heating.

-No vans, box trucks, or similar vehicles

-No taxi cabs, government cars, or other marked vehicles

-No salvaged or rebuilt vehicles

-No aftermarket seating modifications, such as installed seats, seat belts, or BedRyder systems

-Have a clean interior

-Functional head and back lights

-Functional windshield wipers

-Functional side mirrors

-comply with all standard Indiana requirements to be a vehicle on the road.


Vehicle Registration

Nomad accepts both official and temporary registration documents. The VIN, license plate, and expiration date must be listed on the registration. The vehicle does not need to be registered in your name to qualify.


Insurance

All partners must maintain their own insurance policy in accordance with state and local laws. Your name, vehicle VIN, and expiration date of policy must appear on your insurance document. In addition, Nomad maintains automobile liability insurance on behalf of all U.S. partners.
